| An efficient traffic management is now possible with an even more compact system. The TDC2 collects data of up to 4 lanes with infrared sensors. Tabulated are: volume, speed and length of the passing vehicles. Collected data is being transferred to a server by means of cellular connections (GPRS, CDMA) or spread-spectrum radios. Local data storage (memory stick) is also possible for later retrieval. The system is completely autonomous and is powered either by a solar panel or Methanol fuel cell. All what is required is a pole for installation of the components as seen on this photograph. | |
