BEILHARZ Road Equipment manufactures the highest quality and most reliable road safety products for over 50 years. BEILHARZ Road Equipment makes a significant contribution to increase passive road safety and performance worldwide. The company is certified ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
BEILHARZ Road Equipment has been manufacturing high quality, highly reliable products for over 50 years. Their innovative barrier and fencing solutions effectively protect the lives of amphibians and reptiles along roads. Additionally, BEILHARZ takes proactive steps to reduce their environmental footprint enabling them to obtain ISO 14001:2015 certification.
Traffic Technology 2000 is concerned about the environment and ecological connectivity, which makes us proud to represent an eco-responsible company. Reptiles and amphibians constitute an essential element of the ecological balance and biodiversity of our environment. With the BEILHARZ range of protection systems, we make an important contribution to the preservation of these species. Our guidance systems and protective fences for amphibians and reptiles are specifically designed to protect these species and ensure their sustainability in our ecosystem.

Amphibian Protection
Our barriers and protective fencing are used to prevent amphibians from crossing roads. They are useful for promoting the survival of species, particularly during periods of migration.
These barriers are ideal to support biologists in their efforts to preserve ecological corridors along roads. They can be used semi-permanently in sensitive areas near roads under construction or permanently where ecological connectivity becomes an issue. If amphibian migration behavior changes, the barriers can be easily dismantled, stored and reinstalled in another location as needed. Their flexibility in terms of possible uses makes them a valuable tool in conducting studies for the establishment of new wildlife corridors.
MAmS 2000 standard
Our mobile protective fences comply with the German MAmS 2000 standard and therefore correspond to the recommendations and guidelines for the protection of amphibians and reptiles on the roads. So you can be sure that our products meet the highest demands and provide effective and reliable protection.
Amphibian Wall
Modular system with panel weighing 9kg. Its unique shape allows reinforcement of the barrier and prevents amphibians from climbing over.
Manufactured product from 100% recycled high-density polyethylene that helps reduce CO2 emissions and protect the environment. Resistant to UV rays as well as temperature variations.
Adapts to different terrain profiles and can be installed on uneven surfaces. The installation can be leaned against an existing fence or even be self-supporting with specially designed posts.
Available with horizontal panel with a width of 350 mm. The panel is used to facilitate the guidance of amphibians towards a crossing aid, a tunnel or a catch bucket.
Simple and quick installation. Does not require any civil engineering work, heavy machinery or road obstructions for installation. Barrier with perforations to evacuate water available as an option.
Amphibian Fence
Mobile fence
Opaque anti-climb model
Opaque, smooth polyethylene fence that prevents amphibians from crossing. Increases animal safety and welfare, particularly in the context of reptile protection. Specially designed to protect and guide climbing species (e.g. lizards, salamanders, etc.). Can be delivered with straight posts or posts bent at 45°, with spacing of 2 or 5 meters depending on weather conditions. Total height of 60 cm and length of 50 meters.
Permeable model
Wind permeable polyethylene fencing provide a high level of stability while guiding amphibians to a safe crossing. The netting can be secured to an existing fence using links or can be installed on specially designed posts allowing a self-supporting solution. Total height of 60 cm and length of 100 meters.
Installation Options

All components are available individually for possible expansion or for replacement in the event of damage. The modular structure provides maximum application flexibility, meaning that the fences can be used cost-effectively as protection for amphibians and reptiles.
